Someone said to me recently that they couldn't understand the jargon of I.T. and they felt baffled by all the special words that we use. I decided to try and help with some of the words that we use every day at the scanning bureau, these I am sure a lot of you know but some may be new to you.
In this section I will try to explain the different names for the units of measurement of data. In other words you will have heard of a Megabyte or a Gigabyte but what do they mean and are there any others.
Once scanned losing a document is impossible in our systems Can you afford not to be interested ?
To determine the cost of your document storage, you must calculate the saved man-hours and storage costs and compare the final number against the cost of our outsourced service.
Today's businesses are still overflowing in paper. With modern businesses the need to access information quickly is essential. A recent survey finds that 90% of business information is still held as paper. 89% of businesses still have paper archives, this has reduced from 98% two years ago. The average office worker spends on average 3 hours per week looking for lost, misplaced or misfiled documents. Consider the last time that you couldn't find a needed document or were asked to assist in the search for a lost document. It is disruptive, unproductive and costly in many ways to have this hunt the paper exercise.
