Another Lloyds Insurance Broker commits to Storetec
Hull, May 4, 2011 – Storetec Services Limited, the leading provider of document scanning and online
document hosting, today announced they have extended their client portfolio with a new contract for Scan
on Demand services for one of Lloyds Insurances’ largest brokerage firms.
The agreement now in place is to store twenty five thousand boxes of critical client documentation and
provide a unique scan on request service which has been tailored specifically for the specialist needs of
the client. The client is involved in the global insurance and reinsurance market specializing in shipping
and passenger aircraft.
“Our files are critical to our organisation as in many cases they hold unique information about the ship or
plane which we are insuring. Our current provider lost over 1,000 boxes of documents in a warehouse fire
three years ago so we were very careful in our approach when looking for a new provider. We spent four
months going through due diligence and finally settled on Storetec because of the company’s compliance
track record, security and their innovative approach. Part of this innovation was ensuring that we were not
financially penalized for opting for the combined scanning and storage service. We are looking forward to
a strong working relationship with Storetec over the years to come.” said the Operations Director.
“Our new combined service of box storage and retrieval by scanning is starting to win a number of large
accounts. These in the past may have overlooked document scanning as an option due to the cost of
converting the whole archive. We at Storetec get around this by blending the two services into one and
discounting the scanning element. It is a structured way of looking after a large archives and helping the
client to manage them moving forward. This is the fifteenth Lloyds insurance broker to come on board
with us but the first one for Scan on demand. We are hoping to expand our local business in Hull along
