Where are you based?
Our dedicated scanning and processing facilities are based in Hull, close to the motorway network – Sidings Business Park, Freightliner Road, Hull, HU3 4XA. We can arrange collections from anywhere in the UK or international, and our internal logistics team can pack boxes on client premises.
What hours do you operate?
We are open normal business hours, Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM.
Is there a minimum invoice value?
Our minimum invoice value is £300 + VAT per job.

We take data security very seriously and are certified to the Information Security standard ISO 27001 (amongst others). Our team are trained in information security and all data is encrypted in transit and at rest. If you decide to store your images in our secure MDI Cloud platform, they are protected by various security measures, including end-to-end encryption, penetration testing, and access controls, to name a few, and are hosted on UK-based servers.How do I contact support?

What is the output quality of your image scans?
Storetec have invested significantly in industry leading technology and equipment to ensure the best possible image will be taken and provided to the client – up to 600dpi for high volume documents, 4800dpi for large formats, and 600dpi for microform.
What is the best way to access my digital images?
You can access your scanned images through Storetec’s document and data management platform MDI Cloud, or we can transfer your scanned images back to you via an encrypted hardrive/transfer. We can also provide integrations with a range of other platforms.
Are the images searchable?
We ensure that images are indexed with searchable metadata and can even ensure that data is extracted from images. We can also use Optical Character Recognition and AI technology to make your images completely text-searchable.Can you dispose of documents after scanning?
We can securely destroy your documents after scanning, and provide full destruction certificates once completed.
Can you store documents once scanned?
After scanning, we standardly hold your documents for 30 days, allowing you time to review the scanned copies and decide whether you would like them stored, returned, or securely shredded. For the long-term storage of archive documents, we have secure, compliant, purpose-built archive storage facilities.
What documents can you scan?
Virtually any printed material can be scanned! We scan small or large format documents, invoices, medical records, receipts, books, manuscripts, magazines, newspapers, photographs, and historical records, to name a few.
Can you scan handwritten notes?
Yes we can scan handwritten notes into an electronic format. Our state-of-the-art OCR technology can even convert handwriting into computer-readable text.
What format can you scan my images into?
Scanned documents can be scanned into PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, or PNM.
What's the maximum size document you can scan?
Our roller bed WideTek 48 has a max width of 1219mm and no maximum length. Our flatbed VERSASCAN 3650 has a max width of 914mm and length of 1270mm. For high-volume scanning, our ibml Fusions have a max width of 330mm and length of 431mm. Our ibml DS1210 has a max width of 305mm and length of 838mm.
Do you scan artwork?
Yes we can scan artwork. Our maximum size on the flatbed scanner is width 914mm and length 1270mm, and goes up to 1200dpi.

Storage
Where are your storage facilities?
Our archive storage facilities are located in Hull, East Yorkshire.
How long will it take to retrieve a file?
For scan-on-demand requests, we have a turnaround time of 8 working hours. For box storage retrieval, the turnaround time is 24 hours.
How long will it take to receive my boxes/files back?
Once requested, if the request is made before 11am, we aim to dispatch it the same day for delivery the following day. Requests made after 11am will be dispatched the next working day.
