How Document Scanning Helped a Global Manufacturer Review, Plan and Improve
We had been totally and utterly let down by our current storage provider, numerous contacts, but not one of them understanding our needs.
Moving our intellectual property across the country without informing us, sending me a list of what they think we had stored, when in fact this was another company’s data… the list goes on.
Storetec immediately came on site to look at our needs and we swiftly moved over to them. Working with Storetec has been a pleasure and I would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to protect, scan, and store their data.
Who
The Client
The client is a global multi-industry manufacturing leader operating in over 35 countries.
What
Client Requirement
Following an acquisition of their incumbent supplier, the client had lost confidence in the security and ongoing management of their document scanning and offsite storage provider. It had also been a number of years since they had tested the market to see what was available.
What
What We Did
Our experienced team provided the client with a comprehensive audit of the current services being provided to them. A fully costed financial assessment formed part of the project plan. Included in the plan was the conversion of all onsite documents from paper to digital. Following this agreement to proceed was quickly received.
Once uplifted the onsite documents were scanned to text searchable PDF files, and the images were then transferred back to the client for uploading into their existing back office software.
The client’s physical archive, stored offsite was then tackled. Storetec liaised directly with the incumbent supplier to facilitate the transfer of boxes with only minimal input from the client. Storetec assisted with the permanent withdrawal charged by the incumbent and ensured that a complete inventory of documents was completed.
